He is your Praise.

Currently reading in Deuteronomy right now and what God has uncovered already is breathtaking so, I had to share...

In the book of Deuteronomy, the Israelites are traveling in the wilderness, God has delivered them out of Egypt (out of their oppression, away from their oppressor, away from being beaten, starved, complete misery). He brought them out of Egypt and away from Pharaoh through many amazing miracles, signs and wonders. Plagues, the parting of the sea, rivers of blood, just these absolutely incredibly miraculous things. These unthinkable things that took place right before the Israelites eyes while they weren't even touched or bothered by it. They watched the Lord defeat their enemies, chaos ensuing all around them, while they stood by completely unharmed.

Just thought I should give a bit more detail there because, WOW!!

Moses parting the red sea, miracles, signs, wonders

You have to read the word yourself to let it truly speak.

So, He's leading them to the land He promised them. They are continuing to not listen, to say the least. Continuing to do greatly blasphemous things, griping and complaining, you name it, even created a golden calf out of their gathered jewelry and metal materials to worship all because their leader, Moses had been up on the Mountain in the presence of God Almighty seeking His will for the people, for too long.

He was up their too long, their flesh got too fleshy, the enemy kept whispering so they caved to their own selfish desires - sound familiar???

It got so bad that Moses had to literally lie on his face before the Lord for forty days and forty nights, no food, no water, nothing but prayers nonstop to God Almighty, that He not destroy the people and their entire heritage.

Deuteronomy 10

At this point, Moses has come down from the mountain after meeting with the Lord again and He's got the 2nd set of 10 commandments. God agreed not to obliterate the people and Moses came to share this good news.

Sheesh. ((To meditate on this scripture is intense in the most beautifully eye opening way))

"Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it." Deuteronomy 10:14

Moses is telling the people to circumcise their heart...

"Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn"

Deuteronomy 10:16

"For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe."

Deuteronomy 10:17

^^SHEEEESHHH. And takes no bribeee, Ya'll. This right here. But, wait there's more...

So then you keep reading...Moses is trying to tell them (at least this is how I translate it), look get it together, were dealing with the creator of ALL things, the capital G God, the one these little pipsqueak wanna be lowercase g gods wish they could be. He's taking care of you instead of annihilating you like you deserve (also sounds familiar...hmmm).

Then this jumped off the page at me...

"He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen." Deuteronomy 10:21

HE IS YOUR PRAISE.

When you praise God in the midst of hard times and, those times when you just "don't feel like it" do you know what happens?

Listen to this, it's incredible.

When you praise Him in the hard and difficult times, it actually renews your spirit.

It brings you peace!

It brings you perspective! Now your focus is being shifted to God instead of your problems.

It invites His Holy presence into the room!

Do you know what happens when you do that?!?

When you praise Him and invite His Holy presence into the room that's when miracles can take place!

That's when protection can take place!

That's when a complete transformation can take place!

Praising Him in the midst of our pain can literally bring healing and miracles.

Complete transformations. JEHOVAH RAPHA!! OUR HEALER. HE IS OUR PRAISE.

My God you are GOOD!!!

Deuteronomy 10 ends with verse 22 where God is yet again showing His endless mercy and sovereignty.

"Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven".

Deuteronomy 10:22

He is your praise. He is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God and He so loves you. We're a stubborn people, we stumble, we fall, we will never be perfect and He doesn't expect us to be. He sent His son to pay the ultimate price because we couldn't be! John 3:16

He just calls for repentance and love. A repentant heart and when that happens then the great commandment of all will be able to flourish.

Deuteronomy 6:5

Matthew 22:36-38

Be encouraged today knowing that you have the choice.

Be encouraged today knowing that the creator of the universe and all that is, wants and loves YOU.

Once you're encouraged, then take courage today knowing that He will never leave you or forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:8

Love y'all,

Taylor
