Tell of His Goodness - the first blog.

These blogs are simply, as the title reads, to tell of His goodness.

A little about me and hopefully one day I will find out a little about you! Where to start...for sake of a first blog-post I will keep it semi-short and sweet. My name is Taylor, I own Heirloom Confections- a truly Christ inspired baking business that is here to serve you, provide you with some delicious bites to cure your sweet tooth and put a smile on your face while showing Jesus every step of the way. I am a mom of two, and what some might call a Jesus freak ( It's ok, I'll take it gladly), simply put, I love the Lord, He saved my life, He set me free, and He chased after me even though I didn't deserve it. My God. My Rock. My Healer. My Provider. My Abba.

Now, I will go ahead put this spoiler alert out there, are you ready for this? Please brace yourself, it's really serious...I am NOT perfect. Whew, so glad I got that off my chest. So, yeah please don't assume that by my saying I follow Jesus, I'm perfect because it's quite the opposite really, I have a past ( a really messy one- book for a different day), I mess up, and I fall short daily. I'll never reach those standards of perfection and neither will you- so let's just give some Grace, Sis! We follow Him, we fall into Him, we cry out to Him, because we're extremely imperfect and we NEED Him.

Squirrel- I made 27 Sour Cream Pound cakes this past week y'all, I figure I may as well share a pic of one of them - although completely unrelated to this current blog- ha! Now where were we...

Ah yes, His goodness. The Lord tasked me a couple years ago with telling of His goodness so I have set out to do just that. For a while I over thought, over analyzed and over complicated the ask and then finally after stepping back and asking for clarification and wisdom, it hit me...He just wants me to tell of His goodness. He doesn't expect or even need perfect- much like we just discussed above. Just obedience, just tell. Just do. So I will.

I'll write a book!

Now, in order to tell of His goodness you don't have to write a book! All you have to do is brag on Him! That's how I see it anyway- there's so much to brag about and this is like the one and only time it's actually okay to brag - again, that's how I see it anyway! None the less, I did write a book and it was all Him! Seriously - a children's book telling a true story of His goodness is coming soon! He did it. He downloaded it in me. HE gets ALL THE GLORY! He's so good. He gives you the task, gives you ideas, and then even provides all the means to complete the task. He's Absolutely incredible, in-cre-iblee as my Hispanic friends say - I can hear them laughing at me right now because they know how badly I want to sound as cool as they do when I talk!

So What Now?

So now I task you with finding one way YOU can tell of His goodness this week. How will you? It can be simple or intricately detailed- it's up to you how much fun you wanna have with it! Just remember - don't over complicate it like I did for so long! Just do. Just tell. He is worthy.
