Our first Book.

To God be all the glory.

Many have asked, "what made you want to write a book?" and quite simply I have responded with "Him" or a point to the sky. I didn't go in depth in my response only because of location, timing or because of being pulled in different locations when this same question was asked at the book launch last week. I figure this is the perfect place to give that more detailed response so, here we go...

I have always enjoyed writing but, never knew how that would play out in my life. Going on 3 years ago now was the first time I realized God may be calling me to write a book... He is so amazing. He didn't flat out audibly say TAYLOR, I SAY WRITE A BOOK! No, that honestly would have probably freaked me out! He is incredible in how he speaks in so many different ways. I mean if you were Him and you were literally the creator of ALL things wouldn't you find multiple different ways to speak? He made fun too y'all- so I am sure He has a lot of it!

So many people say "well he doesn't talk to me!" "I've never heard from God!" or my personal favorite "God doesn't do that anymore, that was old testament bible times!" HA! because the creator of the universe can be stopped, because the Alpha and Omega just stopped talking and lost the ability, WRONG! That's a bold face LIE from the pits of hell.

If you think you can put my God in a box like that, then you don't know Him at all and I would suggest you get real and call out to Him...with the quickness! Ask Him to show you just how much He speaks and then...buckle up buttercup and listen.

This is the King of Kings were talking about. The GREAT I AM. My Holy Spirit language is bubbling up just thinking about it! Woooo! He speaks when and How He wants to and He will speak to you just as much as He will speak to me or anyone else....you just have to be will ingredients to listen..and seek Him to hear Him. It is HIS timing and schedule, not ours. Holy ghost heated in here!

Okay! Back to how he began speaking a book to me.

This took place over like a 3-4 day span- things were just dropped in my lap, all of a sudden book everything was popping up all over the place. Anything I was watching, seeing on my phone, social media, in random conversations, all had to do with books and no I wasn't talking about it so my phone popped up with adds, I had never even thought about writing a book. I was notified of new books coming out, people literally asked me randomly (or not so) in conversation have you ever thought about writing a book? and even more so, I would be getting ready for bed and random (or not so) thoughts would pop in , take a look at that book, look at the back of that book, what is needed to do this...this went on for days...to the point where it started to get so odd to me that I went to my secret place to spend time with the Lord and I was just like "okay this is kinda crazy but, God...do you want me to write a book?!!??" and He said "tell of my goodness".

Such a powerful moment.

So naturally I sat on it, over complicated it and over thought it to the point of exhaustion and then just left it there and thought well okay I will try and figure that out. I'm rolling my eyes and Palm in face. I mean for years I went back to it and was like Lord How do you want me to do this? Until almost 3 years later, this past September, I was getting ready to go to bed and felt prompted to grab my laptop close by and once I did the book began to flow out of me.

((Sometimes I feel like the Lord looks at me like oh my goodness, somebody help this one! Just help her. Go get her, help her. LOL I'm just kidding, He is the most patient Abba. In the best way I bet He does laugh at me a lot though, I can't blame Him there. :) ))

I mean Holy Spirit took over and it just flowed out of me. A couple hours after grabbing my laptop the entire Children's book was written...but, that's not all. He gave me every detail of what each illustration should be. I said this at the launch and I will say it again and again, I take zero credit. He has been and is continuing to write my story ...even through this one and He gets all the glory. This children's book takes experiences from my life and shows God's goodness and glory through each step plus, I won't spoil the ending but, the very end of the book is the best part of it all! Sometimes we over complicate the simplest of things.

Tell of my goodness. Finally the light bulb went off in my head... OH! I will just tell of His goodness. There are a million ways I could do this, a million ways how you could do this! Don't over complicate like I did...just tell of His goodness.

One night this past September the book was written and illustrations listed out. From that point He walked with me right through it all, quickly learning, moving and navigating through the entire process. When He wants something done, trust and believe He will get it done...and if you want to be the vessel He uses to do it, all you have to do is be willing, say yes and don't hesitate.

From September being written to May being released, He has shown me yet again that Nothing is Impossible with God.

Luke 1:37 - How funny is it that I got this tattooed on my forearm just 5 months prior to the book...coincidence? I think not.
