Jesus & Cake.

To the one who doesn't know where to turn or the one who wants to know more about Jesus, but, not sure how to find out, not sure where to go. You've heard and seen some things and you wanna see for yourself...but, you've done a lot of wrong or you've been hurt by "church people" and not stepped foot inside a church ever since...

Don't let that keep you from missing out on the most important decision you will ever make in your life. The decision that determines your eternity...this life is short, only temporary.

But Taylor, nobody knows what I've been through! Nobody knows how they hurt me, nobody knows what they did to me, nobody knows what all I've seen and done!

The church hurt me and that stuff's just not for me...

See that's where you're wrong.

The church didn't hurt you, the people in the church did.

Keep this in mind though...there's broken people everywhere you go.

Church, school, work, sports, we all make mistakes and none of us are perfect.

We are all broken in one way or another and the church you're talking about is just a building full of broken and imperfect people trying to do right but, they still mess up just like you and I do every single day.

Don't let one broken person steer you away from the greatest gift you could ever receive.

You should absolutely find a church home. To encourage, to strengthen, to worship Him.

We go for Him, not them. Hebrews 10:24-25

Also-don't forget, He knows. He knows every single thing that's been done to you, He knows what they said and did, He knows how you've been hurt, He knows what you have witnessed and knows all that you've done as well.

But, He also said to forgive- and to forgive as He has forgiven us. Ephesians 4:32

So maybe the "church stuff " you've witnessed really isn't for you...it may be that what you've witnessed shouldn't be for anyone. Unfortunately, there's been a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing and also unfortunately that will not stop it will only get worse. His word tells us this.

That's why now more than ever it's vital to know Him for yourself!

To be able to discern the fruit. Matthew 7:15-16

Don't just believe what anyone says, no matter their platform-find out for yourself.

We have to be able to see and know what's good and what's bad, what's biblical and what's a ploy of the enemy. We have to be able to discern, let go, forgive and move on...not for the ones who wronged you, for you!

You have to forgive for you.

You can't truly let go and move forward to better until you do.

Not to mention, Matthew 18:22

We have to know Him.

Not of Him.

Know Him.

The times have changed, there's always been evil but, we're living in the last days, don't be deceived.

What makes you qualified to speak on this?

-The only one that's qualified is Christ.

He is my savior, and has led me to this so I'm just trying to be obedient here.

He doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called.

Why are you any better?

-I'm not. Not any better at all.

Matter of fact I've done and been through a lot of crap, drug through a lot of it too.

Some self inflicted, some because of sheer evil at work attempting to take me down and out, attempting to pull me away from my call.

But, God.

I hear you have quite the past! Why should I listen to you?

- I do have quite the past and it's a messy one too! You shouldn't listen to me, you should listen to Him and that's the only place I will be speaking from is Him.

- What HE has done for me, how HE has changed me, how HE has saved me, how HE has transformed my life. How HE continues to show me grace and mercy day after day. I'm just the clay, praying to be a vessel to help others see and experience what I have.

if you allow Him, He will do the same for you.

What's sooo amazing about God?

Well. He is literally THE one true living God, creator of the universe and every single particle of its existence but, besides that, He knows all and is all. He is love, Grace, mercy, justice and all powerful. There's not enough time to go through all that He is but, even if there was our minds couldn't comprehend all that He is.

He's the Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end, and He still cares about each and every person on this planet along with the smallest details that make us who we are. Plus, He sent His only son to die as the ultimate sacrifice for our sin so that we could have the opportunity to choose to believe in Him and be saved from an eternal hell of darkness and pain. Because of Jesus, God loves us through and in the midst of our mess.

He wishes that none should perish and all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

I don't like math (understatement of the century)-but this simple equation is what's gotten me to this point.

We will talk about the Father, Son and Holy ghost, read & study the word, encourage each other, support, laugh and pray together and we will do all of that with cake!

Doesn't get much better than that.
